General Atomics announces innovative energy technology advancement

GA is announcing our participation in the new $452 million Department of Energy program to change the game in energy with innovative small modular reactors. GA's innovative entry is EM2 which runs without coolant water, can be located anywhere and produces minimal waste. Small size — the size of a school bus — with big savings, efficiency and waste reduction. The DOE competition is major news in the energy industry, promoting the next generation of energy production. Currently nuclear makes up 20% of the U.S. Grid, with aging plants it's imperative that the gap be filled with clean and safety enhanced energy technology — like EM2.
