Nuclear knowledge management strategies branded ‘ineffective’

Did you see the nuclear knowledge management (KM) survey results that I sent over last week? What did you think?
As the results show, 80% of nuclear professionals believe that the industry’s KM strategy is ineffective or only moderately effective in dealing with the threat presented by a retiring workforce. Given its impact on operational efficiency and capacity factors, KM is one of the key issues to be discussed at The Nuclear Operations and Maintenance Efficiency Summit USA 2015 (16-17 Nov, Charlotte NC).
Take a look at the program for the industry’s only O&M meeting place right here
The Summit provides you with a unique platform to:
  • Develop a robust strategy to combat major challenges facing the efficient operation of NPPs such as obsolescence, knowledge management, planned maintenance efficiency and inventory management.
  • Hear senior industry professionals from the likes of Exelon, First Energy, Talen Energy, Xcel Energy, Rolls Royce, EPRI and True North discuss how best to overcome the major hurdles to plant optimization from both utility and service provider perspectives
  • Have your say on how nuclear power plants can increase current capacity factors by overcoming the significant issues to O&M efficiency in one of the meetings multiple interactive panel discussions and Q&A sessions taking place
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
John
